Our community is beginning to learn the benefits of cooperating. As One Safe Place came together as the merger between Women's Refuge and the Family Justice Center, a similar relationship could be worked out among The Greater Redding Chamber of Commerce, the Shasta Economic Development Corporation, and the Redding Convention and Visitors Bureau (along with the Shasta Cascade Wonderland Association). Should they merge completely? I don't think so, but this post will explore what could occur if this were to be the case in the future.
This one is gonna take me a while to write. It could be straight up impossible. Initial digging makes me feel good though.
Northern California has always felt left out of the political mix in Sacramento. We are much demographically different than our southern counterparts and we are in a much different economic environment than most others in California currently enjoy.
While the original intentions of the State of Jefferson movement was to earn far Northern California the respect, funding, and recognition that we deserve, the current State of Jefferson movement is ironically achieving exactly the opposite
